We use a variety of insulated wall and ceiling panels dependent upon the specific client needs and budget. We use the best in urethane foam panels from a selection of pre-qualified manufacturers that fits your specific need. For some applications we will use extruded poly-styrene (EPS) panels or bead board panels all from pre-qualified manufacturers. Whether refrigerated or non-refrigerated, the panels we use will exceed your requirement and provide the best insulation value for your investment.
Most of our panels carry a 20 year warranty.
Cold Storage Solutions does not manufacturer the panels it uses. We maintain a relationship with many panel manufacturers regardless of their location and style. We have pre-qualified these manufacturers and conducted surprise visits to inspect the quality of the panels. As a result, we are able to offer a variety of styles, lengths, thickness, composition, and fastening systems that best fits your requirement. We consider panel manufacturing location as it relates to your project location to minimize the transportation cost associated with panel procurement. If you have a specific panel manufacturer that you prefer to use and we have not pre-qualified them, we will do so before proceeding with the project.
The panels we use come in varying thickness, each with many intended uses. These typically range from 2” to 6” for urethane and up to 10” for EPS, however, other thickness are available upon request. We select the correct thickness for your use to maximize your insulation and investment.
Our urethane panel manufacturers use only the highest quality urethane available. In response to today’s ecological concerns, some of our panels manufacturers use a non-CFC polyurethane that significantly reduces ozone depleting effects to the Earth’s atmosphere. We inspect all manufacturers to ensure their panels are blister free throughout the panel. All of the manufacturers use a foam-in-place continuous line panel manufacturing process that ensures a superior panel with consistently high quality.
Panel skins or the metal sides of the panel range in thickness form 22ga to 26 ga. They have a variety of metal finishes from flat to corrugated to those with vertical lines. All are beneficial to a variety of uses and we select those that will best fit your use.
Our panels vary in their fastening systems. Some are tongue-in-groove; while others have a cam lock system; while still others have a cam lock connected by an internal steel band. In any case, we select the panel w/ the fastening system that matches your need.
Panel Finishes: The panels we use come in a variety of colors, facings, and materials. Our material selections include galvanized, Plastisol, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and others. The facings can be smooth, striated, corrugated, and others. These finishes are designed for interior or exterior use, dependent upon your application. All are USDA approved for use in food storage and processing applications.
Panel lengths can be customized, but dependent upon the manufacturer, typically come in lengths from 96” to 48’.
